Brooke Cassar

With an extensive international career in professional dance, Brooke Cassar’s passion and dedication to the art form has brought her back to the Redlands community where her journey began.

Beginning her career here in Brisbane with the Queensland Ballet Junior Extension Program, Brooke continued her training at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and with Queensland Ballet in the Pre-Professional Program. Upon graduation, Brooke commenced study in Sydney at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy, before moving abroad to France for the opportunity to join the Professional Program at École supérieure de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower.

By the age of 18, Brooke had successfully secured coveted international contracts with the Le Palais de’Hilver St Petersburg Ballet in Toulouse and the Ballet Divadlo J.K Tyla Theatre in the Czech Republic.

Brooke brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in both performance and teaching to DBBC from the best mentors the world of dance has to offer. Brooke is also a certified pilates instructor as well as an Xtend Barre instructor bringing experience and expertise to DBBC's extensive adult wellbeing program, including adult ballet, beginner adult ballet, pilates and stretch and release classes for your fitness needs.

Laura Wood

Laura is a professional dancer from Brisbane with a passion for teaching dance.

Having graduated from the Queensland Dance School of Excellence in partnership with Queensland Ballet in 2012, she continued her training with Sydney Dance Company’s inaugural Pre-Professional Year in 2014.

In 2015, Laura was asked to become an Associate Artist of Sydney Dance Company and performed in numerous works by Rafael Bonachela, Lucas Jervies and Cass Eipper, Alexander Whitley and Dane Hurst.

Laura has been dancing with Celebrity Cruises for the last four years, performing all over the world and most recently with Opera Australia in Melbourne and Sydney before joining the DBBC team.
